All about that Ace

Varsity Volleyball huddles before facing Elyria.

The Ace for Grace event was a huge success Tuesday night. There were dozens of gift baskets raffled off, and lots of people participated in the 50/50 raffle. Not only was a lot of money raised for the foundation, but two of the three MHS Volleyball teams won against Elyria.

Freshman and JV Volleyball beat the Elyria Pioneers in three high-intensity sets. Varsity lost to Elyria in the fourth set, giving them a 9-10 overall record.

Ace for Grace is a feel-good event, and it always leaves a positive impact on everyone involved.

JV Middle Hitter Stephanie Flamik said, “Ace for Grace is always an amazing experience, and I’m so lucky to be a part of it.”

The way the people of Medina come together to support each other through dealing with this disease is so inspiring to me.”

“It was a great night, not to mention I got to play my favorite sport with some of the best people I know.”

The event is a success every year, and the community cannot wait for the next one.
