To raise money for Northeast Ohio families affected by cancer, the Collin Cares Cure Cancer Foundation partnered with the Medina Lacrosse programs for their May 8th games. All sales made by the concessions stands were donated to Collin Cares.

In 2015, Collin Kiousis founded Collin Cares to support families affected by cancer and to raise awareness. Kiousis himself was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2014 and passed away on January 17th, 2017.

During his time at MHS,  Kiousis was a member of the Medina Lacrosse teams. To remember his legacy, a brief dedication was said before the boys lacrosse game, along with the presentation of his lacrosse jersey.
